The throttle is over 9% larger than its predecessor, decreasing flow losses given the improved restriction in the throttle body itself.

Air rushes in and fills the intake faster for better throttle response, enabling higher top end power and significantly increased torque at all engine speeds. That includes low engine speeds for more spirited, yet controlled driving conditions.
